Stacking Coupons

Let's begin with knowing the different types of coupons that are available to use for "Stacking" Generally there's 2 different types of coupons: Manufacturers Coupons & Store Coupons. Knowing the difference between the 2 can help you to maximize your savings by combining or "stacking" the two together on one product.

Manufacturers Coupons usually state "Manufacturers Coupon" on them. Look for an address in the fine print! Manufacturers will post instructions for the retailer to submit for reimbursement. The store will be paid the face value of the coupon plus a processing fee by the manufacturer. MQ's will always have a valid expiration date and a scanable barcode beginning with 5 or 9. Just because a coupon if found in the store ad or has a store logo on it doesn't mean it is a store coupon, so take a close look at the fine print of all coupons to see what type if actually is. Manufacturers Coupons with store logos or "Redeem Only @ particular store" can be used at any retailer that Accepts All Manufacturers Coupons. A particular store's logo or name may appear on a MQ because the store has participated in a joint advertisement for a featured product. It is a misconception to believe that a MQ must be used only at that particular store. If you use a store branded MQ at a competitors stores, it will not be treated as a Store/Competitor coupon because the retailer is reimbursed for the coupon. Please remember that using coupons at any retailer is a privilege and please check with each store for any restrictions in their coupon policy for MQ's with other store's logos or names on them. Catalina coupons that print out at registers that state "Manufacturer Coupon" are also accepted at any other retailer that accepts MQ's.

Store Coupons usually state "Store Coupon" or "Retailer Coupon". This must be used at the store that issued the coupon, because this is an in-house offer for their customers. Stores distribute their own coupons for the same reason they have sales - incease sales, increase revenue. Some stores will accept Competitors coupons as their own Store Coupon, so with all this in mind, the possibilities with both types of coupons are endless.

Most store will allow you to Stack Coupons, meaning using (1) MQ & (1) Store coupon for each item you purchase. If your store is having a BOGO sale, you are purchasing (2) products for the price of only (1) item. You are still able to use one of each type of coupon on both items regardless of the price of the second item. I know this sounds crazy, but it you think about if "one coupon per item" is what coupons actually state and there's no restrictions from any stores prohibiting you to utilize a coupon on both items. Here's a good example:
Publix is having a sale on Deodorant BOGO $3.00..so you buy (2) Deodorants for $.00
They have a flyer at the front of the store with store coupons for $0.50 off 1 Deodorant.
You have MQ;s from last weeks newspaper for $1.00 off 1 Deodorant.
You can use (2) $0.50/1 Store Coupons & (2) $1.00/1 MQs and you will get both deodorants for FREE!
